چکیده
Turkey is the second largest honey producer in world. However, beekeeping sector, especially export of and products, not supported by income compatible with this asset. The main reasons for discrepancy are presence bee diseases (predators) their residues honey. Due to observation Aethina tumida (small hive beetle; SHB) Europe (Italy) Tropilealaps spp. Iran’s border regions close Turkey, Ministry Agriculture Forestry Republic has raised its alert level these two notifiable diseases. a fruit insect originally from South Africa it later adapted colonies. In early 2000s, agent came North America imported fruits caused serious losses. SHB, which spread 12 countries so far, economic losses entered could be eliminated. Tropilaelaps an ectoparasite that cannot survive long without brood feeds on needs survive. mite even suppresses Varroa when found colony extinguishes short time. It fact pests may rapidly due practice migratory they can cause damage our beekeeping.

Transcriptomic and functional resources for the small hive beetle Aethina tumida, a worldwide parasite of honey bees
The small hive beetle (SHB), Aethina tumida, is a major pest of managed honey bee (Apis mellifera) colonies in the United States and Australia, and an emergent threat in Europe. While strong honey bee colonies generally keep SHB populations in check, weak or stressed colonies can succumb to infestations. This parasite has spread from a sub-Saharan Africa to three continents, leading to immense ...
متن کاملResponse of the small hive beetle (Aethina tumida) to honey bee (Apis mellifera) and beehive-produced volatiles
The response of male and female Small Hive Beetle (SHB), Aethina tumida, to air-borne volatiles from adult worker bees, (Apis mellifera), pollen, unripe honey, beeswax, wax by-products (“slumgum”), and bee brood, was investigated in olfactometric and flight-tunnel choice bioassays. In both bioassay systems, males and females responded strongly to the volatiles from worker bees, freshly collecte...

متن کاملFactors Affecting Pupation Success of the Small Hive Beetle, Aethina tumida
Survivorship of larvae of the small hive beetle, Aethina tumida Murray (Coleoptera: Nitidulidae), was measured after they were raised on one of six diets. The effects of container shape (wide and shallow vs. narrow and deep), soil depth (0, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 4.0, and 8.0 cm), and temperature (28°, 32°, or 35° C) on pupation success was measured. Diet influenced larval survivorship, but did not hav...
متن کاملSmall hive beetle (Aethina tumida) oviposition behaviour in sealed brood cells with notes on the removal of the cell contents by European honey bees (Apis mellifera)
Small hive beetles (Aethina tumida Murray) can lay eggs cryptically through the cappings of sealed bee brood cells. However, honey bees (Apis mellifera L.) can detect this activity and respond by removing cell cappings and contents (hygienic behaviour). We were interested in identifying conditions that regulate this syndrome of stimulus and response. Beetle oviposition rate (proportion of cells...
